Graduate Admissions

The Department of History accepts applications for the MA in History, MA in History through the Public History Program, and the Ph.D. in History.  Students entering the Ph.D. program without an MA may also earn an MA in History.  Admission is offered for Fall only and we do not allow deferred admission. Priority consideration for Fall 2023 admission will be given to applications submitted by Friday, December 9.  We encourage prospective students to start an e-mail dialogue with one or two faculty members in the area of research interest.
